Trust

We don’t change your skills.
We change the language.

This page is the contract behind that promise — the exact list of what Resume SpeedRun will and won’t do with your resume. If you ever catch us breaking one of these, we want to hear about it.

What we do

  • Rewrite the language of your resume

We rephrase your existing summary and bullet points to match the words a job description uses for the same work. The substance is yours; the vocabulary is updated.

  • Re-order your skills and bullets

We surface the experience that's most relevant to this specific role, and push less-relevant items down. Nothing is added or removed without your sign-off.

  • Format your resume to pass ATS filters

Single-column layout, standard fonts, parsable section headings, no headshots or fancy graphics that confuse Applicant Tracking Systems.

  • Score your resume against the job description

We give every tailored resume a 0–100 ATS score with a transparent breakdown of where the points came from (keywords, metrics, skills, summary).

  • Let you download your output

Every tailor produces a PDF you fully own. You can use it anywhere, share it, modify it, and we don't keep a copy after the response is sent.

  • Delete your data when you ask

Email resumespeedrun@gmail.com from the address on your account and we'll delete your account and any associated data within 30 days.

✗ Won’t

What we don’t do

  • Invent skills you don't have

The AI is hard-prompted to never add jobs, companies, dates, certifications, metrics, or technologies that aren't already on your resume. If something feels too good to be true on your tailored output, it's a bug — please report it.

  • Train AI models on your resume

Anthropic, our AI provider, processes your input through their commercial API and does not use API submissions for model training. We don't sell or share your data with any other AI company either.

  • Sell your data to recruiters or job boards

Not now, not later. Your resume is yours. We don't run ads on top of it, we don't syndicate it to recruiters, and we don't show your information to anyone you haven't sent it to.

  • Scrape your computer or browser history

We only see the text you paste or upload. No tracking pixels from advertising networks, no fingerprinting beyond what's needed to keep the service running.

  • Auto-apply on your behalf

We don't submit resumes to companies for you. Every application is a deliberate action you take. We won't quietly fire off a hundred applications and then ask for forgiveness.

  • Keep your tailored output indefinitely

Tailored resumes and cover letters are generated on demand and not retained on our servers after the response is sent back to your browser.

How “no fabrication” actually works

Every tailoring request goes through a system prompt that lists the rule explicitly: never invent jobs, companies, dates, metrics, or skills that aren’t in the candidate’s resume. The model is asked to reorder, reword, and re-emphasize what’s already there — not to add anything new.

Your tailored output is also returned alongside an improvements list: the literal lines you can read to see what changed and why. If something looks off, you don’t have to take our word for it — you can see the diff.

No system is perfect, so we ask you to review each tailored resume before sending it. If you ever catch the AI inventing something that isn’t on your resume, please email resumespeedrun@gmail.com — those reports get treated as bugs and jump to the top of the queue.

Built for people who actually have the experience
